About Malia
Malia Maurer is a Reiki Master, Women’s Circle facilitator, Munay-Ki practitioner, and teacher with over 20 years of experience working in sound and vibration. Over the years, she has become acutely aware of how these elements move through life creating harmony or discord in people’s lives. She believes that human beings are instruments. When the dense and stagnant energy from past wounding is removed, more spaciousness and light can be ushered into the bodies and lives of those she works with.
Malia received her degree at the University of Santa Barbara in Ethnomusicology. She spent over 20 years studying the movement and mechanics of sound and vibration and connecting children and adults of all ages to the world of music. She brought Kindermusik to the community of the Santa Ynez Valley, has produced live musical productions and served as the Director of Music at Solvang School producing collaborative musical performances. She now works to bring the instrument of the human body back to health and has assisted hundreds of people to find more balance, well-being, vitality, purpose and health.
